As your Observer it was a pleasure and an honour to meet you all and hope to see you all next year !!!! until then take care

P.S - Little Kev, the fish told me they enjoyed your little present and have you got anymore! Best Regards

Congratulations to you all, a great swim, for an excellent cause, I was proud to be your pilot and escort boat. Good Luck

Big Kev

I would just like to give a great big heart felt thanks to all the team members of the Army Team A/B and Helen of course. The last few months training have all to well proved invaluable. I have had the most memorable experience of my life so far and been fortunate to share this with some new found very valuable and now very close friends. I take my hat of to all the participants in the race we have undoubtedly experienced all the emotions that we would probably not like to see again for at least a few days. I am now hooked into the open water scene and I am looking forward to the next challenge. I hope to see you all soon, again many thanks to all.

Army A and B

Pip, a special thanks from all of us for your hard work and support. We are all so proud that you were part of the team and were able to swim with Suzanne and touch down in France. You’ve had so much on recently, on top of which you drove all the way down from Scotland to join us - and inspiration to us all. xxxxxx

Helen

Well done to everyone who took part in the first ever Channel Eagle. Swimmers, support staff and to families and friends who have generously given space and encouragement to train and take part.

On a very personal level I would like to thank everyone who took part for allowing me to share such an incredible time with you and for supporting the building of the website. I have felt it a huge privilege to work with you all and very much look forward to things to come.

I also want to publicly thank my Dad, Geoff who sat up from 2pm the previous afternoon until hours after the event finished updating the website so people all over the world could follow the race.

Thanks to Mum, Glen, who kept him well supplied with food and tea and stayed up ‘til 3am to keep him company, and to both of them for coming to stay with the children and dogs so we could both go to Dover. To our children, who have been so patient and loving - you have made us very proud. Hxxxxxxx
